First-ever Volvo heavy-duty Electric Truck Range in the UAE

We witnessed a defining moment for the UAE’s heavy-duty transport sector last evening, as Al-Futtaim Auto & Machinery Co. LLC (FAMCO) unveiled the region’s first-ever Volvo heavy-duty Electric Truck Range in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Liselott Andersson, Swedish Ambassador to the UAE, government officials, senior management of Volvo Trucks and Al-Futtaim Automotive, and VIP guests.

A formidable display of our automotive group’s commitment to future-forward innovation and the UAE’s Net-Zero 2050 strategy. We are not just talking the talk; with the new electric trucks we are putting our green mobility promises into action.

At the event, we unveiled the Volvo FH Electric, which can haul up to 44 tonnes and run an impressive 300 kms on a full charge. Two other electric truck models, Volvo FM Electric and Volvo FMX Electric will soon be added to the groundbreaking line-up.
